As a part of our ongoing efforts, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Trainer to lead a three-day workshop on UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (UN1325) to 25 participants.
Position: Trainer
Duration: Three-day Workshop
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive three-day workshop on UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (UN1325), emphasizing its importance and impact on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
- Develop an engaging and interactive training curriculum, incorporating case studies, group activities, and multimedia resources to facilitate effective learning.
- Present key concepts and knowledge related to UN1325, including its historical context, core principles, and implementation strategies.
- Educate participants on the significance of women’s involvement in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and decision-making processes.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, encouraging open discussions and active participation among the 25 workshop participants.
- Offer practical tools and guidance to enable participants to apply the principles of UN1325 in their respective professional fields.
- Provide constructive feedback, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the workshop content.
- Collaborate with the Hariwan Organization team to evaluate the effectiveness of the workshop and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise in the field of gender equality, women’s empowerment, and peacebuilding, with a specific focus on UN1325.
- Proven experience as a trainer or facilitator, preferably in conducting workshops or educational programs on gender-related topics.
- In-depth knowledge of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 and its implementation at local, national, and international levels.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and foster interactive learning environments.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to develop and deliver a comprehensive training curriculum.
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and a commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity throughout the workshop.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written). Additional language skills are an asset.
- Availability to conduct the three-day workshop during the agreed-upon dates.
