Position Summary:
The Facilitator will play a key role in implementing programs and activities in Anbar, specifically in Ramadi. This role involves facilitating workshops, training sessions, and community engagement activities to promote empowerment, capacity building, and positive social change. The Facilitator will work closely with program staff and community members to ensure the successful delivery of program objectives.
Contract: 5 Months
Location: Ramadi-Anbar
Key Responsibilities:
-Program Implementation:
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and community meetings as per the program objectives and curriculum.
- Plan and prepare session materials, presentations, and interactive activities to engage participants effectively.
- Deliver sessions on various topics, including but not limited to human rights, gender equality, peacebuilding, and community development.
- Ensure that sessions are conducted in a participatory and inclusive manner, fostering a safe and respectful environment for all participants.
- Adapt facilitation techniques and content delivery to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of participants.
-Participant Engagement and Support:
- Engage with program participants, building rapport and establishing a supportive and trusting relationship.
- Foster an inclusive and participatory atmosphere where participants feel comfortable expressing their opinions and sharing their experiences.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to participants in their personal and skill development journeys.
- Address any questions, concerns, or challenges raised by participants and provide appropriate assistance or referrals as needed.
-Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Collect and document data related to participant attendance, engagement, and feedback during program activities.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation efforts by providing input on program effectiveness, participant progress, and outcomes.
- Assist in the administration of pre-and post-training assessments or surveys to measure the impact of the program.
- Contribute to the identification of lessons learned and best practices for program improvement.
-Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with program staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders to ensure smooth program implementation.
- Coordinate logistics and ensure all necessary materials and resources are available for program activities.
- Support the identification and mobilization of community resources and networks to enhance program outcomes.
- Maintain regular communication with program staff, reporting on progress, challenges, and emerging needs.
-Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program activities, participant attendance, and feedback.
- Contribute to the preparation of program reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
- Assist in the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data for program reporting and storytelling purposes.
-Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, education, community development, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in facilitating workshops, training sessions, or community engagement activities.
- Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of participants.
- Knowledge of human rights, gender equality, peacebuilding, and community development principles and practices.
- Experience working with marginalized communities and addressing social issues in Anbar or similar contexts is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Arabic and English is plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing program needs.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Residency or willingness to relocate to Ramadi, Anbar.
